After much anticipation, guessing and speculation on what former ELLE editor Jackie Burger would get up to after stepping down as editor last year. I am proud to share and announce that she has just recently launched Salon 58 - South Africa’s first salon – a place where creatives and visionaries can come together to dream, collaborate and create.

Jackie Burger ON Salon 58: "Although salons are a new concept in South Africa, they have been around Europe since the 17th century. In a time when women did not have much scope for self-expression, salons provided them with opportunities to learn, be creative and simply converse about matters other than the daily grind, things that they find interesting and stimulating. In a similar way Salon 58 will be a type of ‘live magazine’ that provides edited and curated content to encourage women to express themselves in new ways" – Jackie Burger.

Jackie will also host one-on-one personal style consultations from the salon where women and men alike can come and receive feedback and enter into a conversation with one of South Africa’s most revered fashion icons.
I have been very fortunate to have met Jackie Burger as you may or may not know she is one of my biggest role models and I have followed her through and through her journey so this is very exciting news!!
